My new books ends?

These are my new book ends.
Well I would like them to be.
I think though this cylinder and barrel look better
on the 48 where they belong.

Gung Jue

This Lambretta was named by her owner, Mawgan  who lives in Hong Kong 'Gung Jue' which means Princess in Cantonese.  Pretty but high maintenance and demanding of attention.

Who needs two wheels?

Or an engine?  Have wheels will travel and Christian demonstrated by coming to work on his unicycle.

The devil is in the detail

Some pictures to show the progress of the Lambretta 48.  The next big challenge on her are the wheels that have to be completely rebuilt.

Bruce's James autocycle

Neil has lovingly restored his James autocycle.  We had the honour of having a little hand in it because we remagnatised his flywheel.

It is amazing to see where he started from and such a pleasure to see another historical bike saved.

Living with a Lui as your daily ride (how to get up that hill)

This is Patrick’s daily machine used for work. So far it has covered forty thousand miles since its last rebuild. All that has been changed is the occasional cable and spark plug.

On the original build it was fitted with a 75 Casa kit running with the original carburetor. It now has a modified manifold to take a modern rubber mounted carburetor which has led to an increase in power across all the range. And Patrick can now get up the hills.

Have Lambretta will travel

This Lammie came in for a rear hub oil seal. Again she has a very proud owner who uses her daily.  The box on the back is for his dog who travels around London with him.  She was a joy to see in her orginal condition.

This is Daves baby that he built himself.  She came to Scooter to  be jetted prior to Dave's scooter fest to Germany

Pilo

This is Pilo. Christian is restoring her at Scooter Surgery. I leave you to guess why he has named her Pilo.

You can follow her progress here.

Rosie

This is Rosie, my TSI.  Next to her is Patrick's Lui.
We often have a heart warming line of Lammie's
lined up outside the Scooter Surgery shop.

Craig's Blue Bullet

Craig has restored his Lammie and named her Blue Bullet.  He will be flying around St. Albans on her, so watch out world, here he comes. The parts came from Scooter Surgery.

Mole

Maurice Benn known as Mole, came to Scooter Surgery today on his 1954 Agusta to get a flywheel recharge for one of his other motorbikes.  He was thrilled that this was possible.
